It all started on October 2007. Mike stepped out of a car and was immediately smitten by Michelle who was standing across the street, waiting in line at a new club.
The line was so long that Michelle and her friends decided to check out a bar down the block instead. Mike overheard their plans and followed her (like a creep).
Later that evening, they finally talked and Mike offered Michelle an extra ticket to a concert the following week. He picked out a really classy restaurant for them to eat at beforehand.
The concert ended early, so they went to another fun concert and gorged on really disgusting tacos afterwards. It was the best date ever.
They spent a few days roaming the streets of Antwerp. The city used a photo of Mike and Michelle kissing to promote the citywide Valentines Day activities.
Mike and Michelle lived here together for a month.

Taking the funicular, they went on top of a hill to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere, a church that overlooked the entire city and both the Rhone and Saone rivers. Oddly enough, a choir of young girls visiting from Hong Kong were performing when we arrived. Click for a map
They decided to stroll down the winding gardens behind the Basilica, to get back down to the city. Knowing that this was his moment, Mike brought Michelle to a quiet end where they could be alone. As he led Michelle down a small flight of steps, he turned around, took a ring out of his pocket, and asked her to marry him...
